  lately several of the threads on the board have dealt with some really deep spiritual and biblical topics.

  i love reading everyone's opinions and seeing links to even more detailed opinions.

  it has made me think though.. when i was a strong dub i thought i knew everything about the bible and couldn't wait to 'get into it' with a catholic or protestant priest.

  My sister made a comment the other day that just stopped me in my tracks, said she told the doctor not to give her kids the hepatitis vaccine as the only way they could contract the disease was sex, needles, and blood an that wasn't going to happen so what was the point. I was like, wow it must be nice to be you and be so certain that your little family is so perfect. Talk about conceited and arrogant.

  I'm cleaning out my closet!!!

  looking in my closet this morning, i saw all these clothes that i bought for the meetings .............. i would not be caught dead in now!!!!!!!.

  long frumpy skirts........blouses the my grandma would not wear........i really struggled, and even was more "hip" than most.........ugggggggg.

  did you experiance the same thing??.

  Sounds to me like the closet cleaning might be symbolic too, cleaning out some outmoded and repressive ideas as well.

  Witness parents choose to tranfuse baby to save life

  just wanted to share some exciting info on a recent experience of a witness couple.

  their young baby very unfortunatly was struck with leukiemia and requiered a blood transfusion to save its life.

  fortunatly the parents had enough sence and logical reasoning to save their babys life by listening to the medical staff and proceeded with the transfusions.

  I was always worried that it might come. I was raised in the borg which I despised pretty much from day one, but I was always worried, maybe they are right and I'll never get to _____________________ fill in the blank, as a young boy it would change weekly from fly fighter planes, to being a professional football player, to whatever I wanted to be that week that wouldn't be around in the new system.

  There seems to be no end to the horrors visited upon children. It is one of the few things that sort of makes me wish there is a firey hell for people that do things like this to helpless chidren.

  every once in a while i enjoyed a public talk that featured a very good speaker.

  most meetings i was thoroughly bored.

  especially was i bored with the baby food pablum that was force fed to us.

  predictions for the end of the world have been going on since the time of christ, and in every century since then.

  during the past 100 years there have been more predictions for the end of the world than have been made in all the previous centuries combined.

  many of these prophesied dates have since come and gone.. people look around and see the possibility of many different natural or man-made disasters by which the end could come.
